Twistables (TV Commercial)

For this Commercial for Aardman Animations we had to rig a large number of animatable fruit and props on a very large set.
This project was quite complicated and time consuming as each fruit during the animation had to dance in different styles requiring lots of different rigs. Like all stop frame shoots the rigs had to be hidden as much as possible to cut down on post production time, also none of the rigs are allowed to cross over any part of the puppet as this makes it very complicated to remove the rig in post.
We used a variety of rigs including tracking with small carriages with winders attached and also small stabilising blocks with winders and ball joints on.
